Set up Outlook Express
Open Outlook Express and go to 'Tools' / 'Accounts'. Click on the 'Mail' tab and select 'Add'
and 'Mail'.
Enter your full name in the block labeled 'Display Name'. 'Next'.
Enter your new email address in the block labeled 'Email Address'. 'Next'.
Type pop3.mywebsite.co.za in the 'Incoming mail (POP3) server' block (replace the words
'mywebsite' with
your own domain name).
Type mail.mywebsite.co.za in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server' block (replace the words
'mywebsite' with
your own domain name). 'Next'.
Enter your email address into the 'Account name' box and then your password. 'Next'.
'Finish'.
For Host4Africa's outgoing mail server, we need to change two more settings.
Once again go to 'Tools' / 'Accounts' and double-click on the new account you have just
created. Click on the 'Servers' tab. Here you must add a 'tick' next to the words
'My server requires authentication'.
Now click on 'Settings'. Add your 'Account name' and password again. 'OK'.
Click on the 'Advanced' tab. Change the 'Outgoing mail' port to 587. 'OK'.
If all went well you should now be able to send and receive email with your new email
account.
